APD Detectives Seek Public Assistance in Identifying Assault Suspect

The Austin Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in identifying a male suspect involved in an incident of assault with a baseball bat.
The incident occurred on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at approximately 3 a.m. in the 300 block of Colorado St. The situation arose when the victim picked up a crown from the ground, which seemingly provoked the suspect, and then he assaulted the victim with a bat.
The victim’s injuries were not serious; therefore, this case is classified as an Assault with Injuries rather than Aggravated Assault.
The suspect is described as:
- Black male
- Early 30s
- Medium built
- Short black hair and has a mustache
