Plaintiff Shalitha Ross submitted this lawsuit against the City of Austin and eight individual Austin police officers for the wrongful death of Aquantis Griffin. The plaintiff has also filed on behalf of K.F., a minor, and Ariel Griffin, alleged wrongful death beneficiaries of Aquantis Griffin. The plaintiffs requested compensatory and punitive damages. The defendants responded with a motion to dismiss. On August 3, 2021, the judge granted a motion to dismiss.
