Arborama! A Tree Game

Embrace the beauty of nature and culture through art. Together, play ‘Arborama! A Tree Game’, a new, nature-based game and educational tool.

What is ‘Arborama! A Tree Game’?

Arborama! A Tree Game is a bilingual game that showcases Central Texas native, climate-resilient trees and is recommended for ages 8+ with 2-30 players. This game is designed to educate community members on these trees in a fun, familiar way. While this game models a traditional Mexican board game, that name cannot be referenced due to state rules.

The is an image of the front of the game box. It's orange with brown and yellow squiggles, and has 5 of the cards displayed with the words Arborama.

The game was designed by the City of Austin’s Urban Forest Program and funded in part by the Urban Forest Grant to enlist local artist Claudia Zapata to design and illustrate it.
