UPDATE 4/15/2021: Austin Memorial Park Cemetery will be OPEN on Sunday, April 18. Project managers have determined that vehicles will be able to enter and exit the cemetery one direction at a time due to the width of the entrance.

Austin Memorial Park Cemetery will be closed on Sunday, April 18 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for asphalt work near the entrance to the cemetery that is part of the road improvement project which began in November 2020 and will be completed this spring.
 
Cemetery Operations appreciates the public’s patience while facility improvements are made as part of the 2018 City of Austin Bond Program. Some Austin Memorial Park Cemetery road improvements have recently been finished and visitors have already been driving on some newly paved roads.

The City of Austin Cemetery Operations is a division of the Parks and Recreation Department and operates five municipal cemeteries and maintains two family cemeteries: Austin Memorial Park Cemetery, Evergreen Cemetery, Oakwood Cemetery, Oakwood Annex Cemetery, and Plummers Cemetery. The family cemeteries include the cemetery at Longview Park and the Stanley-Nolen Cemetery at Garrison Park.
