The first U.S. men’s slalom silver medalist was the featured speaker at ViaAir’s launch of a new winter seasonal service.
ViaAir celebrates the launch of new nonstop service between Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) and Steamboat Springs, Colo. AUSTIN, Texas – Olympian, Billy Kidd, the first U.S. men’s slalom silver medalist, was the featured speaker at ViaAir’s launch of a new winter seasonal service between Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) and Steamboat Springs, Colorado (HDN). The AUS to HDN service started on Dec. 13, 2017 from the South Terminal. The inaugural flight ceremony included ViaAir and Steamboat Springs Resort representatives, live performances by Raina Rose, cake and a ribbon cutting.
The ViaAir nonstop service from AUS to HDN will operate three days per week, on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays and are currently available at www.flyviaair.com.
ViaAir recently announced that it will begin nonstop service from Austin to Tucson (TUS) and to Oklahoma City (OKC) beginning on Jan. 18, 2018. ViaAir announced plans to base crews and maintenance at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, positioning its Austin operations to expand. Nonstop flights from Austin to Steamboat Springs, Oklahoma City and Tucson are currently available for sale.
