Center reopens by appointment only, starting March 9
AUSTIN, TEXAS – Austin Resource Recovery (ARR), a City of Austin Department, has launched an online scheduling tool for Austin and Travis County residents to schedule drop-off appointments at the Recycle & Reuse Drop-Off Center (RRDOC) at 2514 Business Center Drive. The RRDOC was temporarily closed in December when the City moved into Stage 5 health and safety restrictions. After repairing damages sustained during winter storm Uri, and with movement back into Stage 4, the center is ready to reopen by appointment only, starting Tuesday, March 9.
Face coverings and social distancing must be maintained by all visitors. Accepted items include household hazardous waste, electronics, tires, plastic bags, Styrofoam, and clothing and housewares. Schedule an appointment on the Austin Recycles App, or at austintexas.gov/dropoff.
