
Contractors Sought for Private Lateral Line Repair
The Austin Housing Finance Corporation (AHFC) is seeking sealed bids from qualified contractors for the Private Lateral Program (PLP), funded by Austin Water (AW) to address repairs related to residential private lateral lines.
A private lateral line is the portion of the wastewater service line located on private property that connects to the City wastewater main. Should these lines break or become defective, the City’s Neighborhood Housing and Community Development Department (NHCD) can provide free replacement or repair. Eligible participants must be Austin Water Utility customers in a single-family home or duplex whose household income is 100 percent or less than the area Median Family Income (MFI). Funding can only be used to address issues with the private lateral lines within property lines but outside of the housing structure. The property must be the Applicant’s principal place of residence. AHFC anticipates awarding up to three (3) contractors with an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract.
Documents for Solicitation AHFC190002, including all sections and attachments, can be obtained through the City’s Vendor Connection website. All documents should be completed as directed. Potential contractors must submit one complete original signed document of their submittal in a sealed container.
Applicants must attend the Mandatory Pre-Proposal Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, July 16, 2019 from 1:30 to 3:00 pm at the AHFC Offices 1000 East Eleventh Street, Suite 400A, Austin, Texas 78702
Proposals must be received at the AHFC Offices, 1000 East 11th Street, Suite 200, Austin, Texas 78702, before 3 p.m., August 8, 2019.
