The podcast is an interview series with City Auditor staff where Austin residents can learn how the Office of the City Auditor’s audits and investigations help the City improve. The podcast is for the community to listen and get more information about the innerworkings of local government.
The Auditor’s Office launched the podcast in November to provide more transparency and accessibility to the work that is being done by the office. Each episode is no more than 15 minutes providing an overview on the reports conducted by the office.
The most recent episodes featured City auditors and investigators talking about a recent software license audit and a library fraud and waste investigation.
Audit ATX co-host Kelsey Thompson says, “We’ve heard from listeners that this podcast has opened their eyes to how the City really works and the importance of audits and investigations!”
Fans of the podcast can contact the City Auditor’s Office via email at firstname.lastname@example.org, or social media @austinauditor to provide feedback and ideas for the podcast.
