Location: Chase Bank – 9901 N. Lamar Blvd
The Austin Police Department Robbery Unit and the FBI Central Texas Robbery Task Force are working in conjunction to investigate a bank robbery that occurred on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at approximately 9:45 a.m. at the Chase Bank, 9901 N. Lamar Blvd.
The suspect, whose description and photo are included below, displayed a handgun, demanded cash and left a suspicious package behind. The suspect left the scene in a silver Chevrolet Malibu with dark tinted windows. The Austin Police Bomb Squad inspected the suspicious package and confirmed that it did not contain an explosive device. No injuries were reported.
