Plaintiffs M. Patricia Cantu and Roberto Cantu submitted this lawsuit against the City of Austin, Austin Police Department former Chief Brian Manley, Detective Erin Truho, Sergeant Michael Joseph, Officers Jacob Beirowski, Robert Mattingly, Luis Alberto Camacho III, Kyle Peterson, Julian Padro-Martin, Christopher J. Knodel, Assistant City Manager Rey Arellano, former Office of Police Oversight Director Farah C. Mucadin, and Travis County Medical Examiner's Office Dr. Vickie L. Willoughby for allegedly wrongfully classifying deceased Paul Cantu. The plaintiffs request compensatory damages and punitive damages. The defendants responded with a request to dismiss the case.
