The Records Division manages and maintains summary employment history for all City of Austin employees known as Service Records
Request Verification of Employment
To process a request for employment and income verifications, you must contact The Work Number. This service is available 24 hours a day,
7 days a week.

Name and Address Changes
Log into the HR Portal to make address changes or certain personal information. For assistance with name changes contact your Department HR liaison.
Viewing Your Service Record File
To view the summary employment history in your Service Record file, call the Records Division at 512-974-3417 to make an appointment. To verify your identify please bring a copy of your City of Austin ID badge or driver's license to your appointment.
