On Monday, December 22, at approximately 10:06 a.m., Austin Police (APD) officers responded to a crash between a motor vehicle and a bicycle in the 400 block of East Ben White Boulevard, westbound service road. The unidentified male bicyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene.

This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 91st fatal crash of 2025, resulting in 95 fatalities. On the date of this crash in 2024, 91 fatal crashes resulted in 97 deaths. These statements are from the initial assessment of the fatal crash, and the investigation is still pending. Fatality information may change.
