ABOUT THE EVENT/PERMITS/PARK ACCESS:

• Event Participation: This event charges a fee to participate in the athletic component of the event.  Public viewing is free and open to the public.
• Amplified Sound:  Amplified sound has been permitted at this event until 1pm
• Park Access: Minimally Open - more than 50% closed, only available to ticketed patrons.

STREET CLOSURES:

• Road closures are not associated with this event; however, there will be bike traffic to be mindful of on roads around the park. 
• Park road closures are associated with this event. 
• Closures will significantly affect area traffic conditions and public recreational use of the park during event hours.
• NO PARKING restrictions are IN EFFECT!  Signed “no parking areas” are actively enforced on event day(s).

• Safety fencing will be erected as part of the event and will close the park to regular public access.

• Due to the number of participants on site, and the nature of the activities, access to Walter Long park areas, parking lots, waterway and/or docks are impacted during event hours.

• In addition, event set up activities will occur in advance such as infrastructure delivery and includes a significant amount of traffic in the park.

• DOCK/RAMP IMPACTS: Due to the number of participants on site, and the nature of the activities, access to waterway and/or docks are impacted during event hours.

• The boat ramp and docks are closed due to the low lake levels.   

ALERTS!

• $250 parking fine during special events when Parking on the grass or on unauthorized park grounds.
• VENDING ALERT - Illegal vending/commercial activity Class C Misdemeanorminimum $200 fine.
• Glass, Styrofoam and Smoking are prohibited in all parks.
