The Office of the Chief Medical Officer provides comprehensive oversight of all out-of-hospital care provided in the Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services system, and strategic alignment of clinical services provided by the City of Austin.

The vision of the Office of the Chief Medical Officer is to improve the quality of life in our Community by providing the tools for delivering professionally competent care and advancing the science of medicine.

The Office of the Chief Medical Officer values are to be patient-centered, system-oriented, innovative through science and data, and leaders by example. The Office continues to grow and develop as a system, relying on its mission and vision to guide progress. The values define the organization on how it collaborates with system partners to provide competent patient care.
