In
April of 2007, the City
discovered evidence of an old illegal dumping site behind
the homes on Ridgeway and Pandora in the Homewood Heights
Neighborhood.
The City then collected both
soil and water samples and found levels of lead above state
protective levels. To ensure the safety of the citizens,
access was limited in the area, now called the Rosewood
Site. The City is in the process of conducting additional
investigations and evaluations.
