Water Conservation Task Force
On May 3, 2007, the Austin City Council unanimously approved a resolution directing
the City Manager to implement the recommended measures developed by the Water Conservation
Task Force. Over the next ten years, these measures are expected to save over 32 million
gallons a day in our peak season.
The Policy Document below outlines all conservation strategies recommended for adoption. As steps are taken to implement
these measures, we will continue to post information about how they will affect Austin citizens and businesses.
