AUSTIN - The Austin Water Utility (AWU) has asked the City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department to temporally suspend operations at the Rosewood Recreation Center and Rosewood Neighborhood Pool, 1182 Pleasant Valley Rd., due to a 12 inch water line break that occurred early this morning. AWU was notified at about 3:00 a.m. that a line had broken on Rosewood Avenue between Hardgrave Street and Chestnut Avenue. The water was shut off and AWU crews have begun making necessary repairs to the broken line. It appears that the recreation center is the only facility affected by the break.
