Blue bins are no longer available. Beginning in October SWS will be distributing new recycling carts.

Garbage Carts

Solid Waste Services provides garbage carts to its customers. Three sizes of garbage carts are available:

• 30 gallon (usually green)

• 60 gallon (usually grey)
• 90 gallon (usually brown)

Exchanging Carts: For $15 (plus tax), you can exchange your garbage cart for one of a different size or add an additional cart. The fee is waived if you are switching to a smaller cart. Your monthly rate will change depending on the size of cart. If you have extra garbage on a regular basis, you may want to consider upgrading to a larger cart.

Damaged Carts: Solid Waste Services will repair free of charge any damage to your cart caused by normal use. Simply notify Solid Waste Services that your cart needs repair.

Missing Carts: If your cart is missing, please notify Solid Waste Services right away. Until you receive your new cart, you may set out two 30 gallon garbage bags without extra garbage stickers each week.

Service Request: To exchange your cart or report a damaged or missing cart, simply call 3-1-1 between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday to Friday or send an email. Be sure to include your address.

Cart repairs, exchanges and deliveries may take up to two weeks from the original date of request. The repair or delivery will be done by our cart maintenance crew on your garbage collection day within this timeframe. Please leave your current cart at the curb from 6:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on your collection day.
