Austin’s Zero Waste goal creates exciting expansion opportunities for the local recycling and reuse sector.
Two City departments, Austin Resource Recovery and the Economic Development Department, have teamed up to launch the Recycling Economic Development Program. Our mission is to attract, retain, and grow zero waste businesses and entrepreneurs in order to create local jobs and foster a resilient zero waste ecosystem in Central Texas. This innovative partnership offers...
One-on-One Business Assistance: Dedicated staff is available to assist companies interested in starting up and expanding their recycling, repair and reuse activities in Austin. Contact us and let us know how we can help!
Affordable Real Estate at the Austin [re]Manufacturing Hub: The City is redeveloping 100 acres adjacent to its closed landfill in Southeast Austin into an eco-industrial park for reuse and recycling manufacturing industries. Participation in this marketplace is free for until April 2016. Instead of paying to dispose of your materials, help them find a second home.
