Aquatic Division
The Austin Parks and Recreation Aquatic Division operates 44 public aquatic facilities, which includes 7 Regional pools, 3 Community pools, 22 Neighborhood pools, 1 Wading pool, Barton Springs Pool and 10 splash pads. We also offer instructional programs such as Swim Team, lifeguard and water safety training and youth and adult swim lessons.
Most pools are free to enter, however, some pools require an entry fee March through October. These pools include Bartholomew, Barton Springs, Deep Eddy, Springwoods, Northwest, and Garrison. Please note that pools may be closed for storms in the area, mechanical issues or other unforeseen events. Please feel free to call the pool if you feel this may be the case.
Bartholomew and Garrison Pools' Summer Free Days are coming up. Bartholomew Pool will be free on Wednesday, June 19, and Wednesday, July 10. Garrison Pool will be free on Tuesday, June 25, and Tuesday, July 23. Come join us and cool off this summer!
Please note that all pools except Deep Eddy and Barton Springs Pool will open from 12p-7p on Thursday, July 4, 2024. There will be NO closure day for pools this week. Any pools closed on Monday-Wednesday will operate on their normal daily schedule.
