Planning and Development Review Department
The purpose of the Planning and Development Review Department (PDRD) is to provide planning, preservation, design, comprehensive development review and inspection services to make Austin the most livable city in the country.

Imagine Austin Comprehensive Plan - Effort to create broad-level guidance on the future of Austin's growth

Design Standards and Mixed Use - Ordinance designed to improve quality of commercial development

Downtown Austin Plan - Current planning effort, including urban rail proposal and affordability issues

East Riverside Corridor Draft Master Plan - Vision, plan and implementation strategy for the corridor

Morrow Street Traffic Analysis - Estimate on traffic volumes with removal of barrier on Morrow

Neighborhood Assistance Center - Provides area neighborhoods access to City information and processes

Residential Design and Compatibility Standards - Site development regulations for single-family, duplexes,
   and other non-multi-family residential development

Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) - Integration of mixed-use development with multi-modal transportation

Proposed Code Amendments - Current amendment proposals and draft ordinances

GIS/Data Analysis - Maps, Data and Geographic Information System layers from PDRD

Historic Preservation - Information on Historic Landmarks, Preservation, and National Register Districts

Long Range Transportation Planning - Adopted 2025 Transportation Plan and Corridor Planning Efforts

Neighborhood Planning - Information about current and adopted neighborhood planning efforts

Urban Design - Downtown Design Guidelines, Great Streets, CBD Transportation, Seaholm, and South Congress

ZONING

Development Process/One-Stop Shop - Information about zoning, subdivision, site plans and building permits

Zoning Information - Regulates how land and buildings are used, and establishes basic site design standards
