Eilers Neighborhood Park
Date of closure: July 24, 2018 - early 2019
Description: During the renovations, the portion of Eilers Park that contains the play equipment, picnic tables and grills will be closed. The trail entrance paths to Town Lake Trail, Deep Eddy Pool’s ADA entrance and the lower open lawn space section will remain open. When completed, Eilers Park will boast a nature based play element, a toddler swing set, new picnic tables, a climbing play element and new vibrant landscape. Also included will be a premier Art in Public Places sculptural element that will greet visitors at the entrance to the park site.

Liz Carpenter Fountain

Description: Liz Carpenter Fountain is temporarily closed until further notice due to an electrical failure which occured on Thursday afternoon. Maintenance crews are currently working to secure replacement parts and will schedule installation as soon as they are available. Shipe Pool and Shipe Wading Pool

Ann and Roy Bulter Hike and Bike Trail near Lake Shores Blvd.
Inlet Installation - start July 16, 2018 and should be completed in two weeks, weather permitting.
Concrete bridge along the hike and bike trail - starts end of July. This portion of the project will take three weeks. The trail will closed and pedestrian and bike traffic will be diverted to the sidewalk.
Rain garden - the rain garden work will continue, as allowed, and be completed soon after the bridge work is finished (mid-August).
Placement of sod and hydromulch seeding - will occur once final grading has been completed. The plan is to utilize Watershed Protection Department water trucks to irrigate the vegetated areas for at least three weeks or until establishment after installation (thru mid – September).

Description: The AARC will be closed to the public from Monday, August 13th to Friday, August 17th in order to accommodate repairs and updates to our facility. The AARC will resume all programs and normal hours of operation on Saturday, August 18th at 9am.
Dove Springs Recreation Center
