What are the hours of operation for the Austin Nature & Science Center?
The Austin Nature & Science Center (ANSC) is open Monday - Saturday from 9 am - 5 pm and Sunday from Noon - 5 pm.
Where is the Austin Nature & Science Center located? The ANSC is located in Northwest Zilker Park off of Stratford Dr. See Map
Take Barton Springs Rd. into Zilker Park
Turn north onto Stratford Dr. within Zilker park. (Stratford Dr. is the street between the Zilker Botanical Gardens and the Rock Island area/Great Lawn)
Follow Stratford Dr. until you see the Mopac overpass.
ANSC Public Parking is under the overpass at 2389 Stratford Drive.
After parking, please walk across Stratford Dr. to the sidewalk entrance of the ANSC on the West side of MoPac. You will see our signage.

How much does it cost to visit the Austin Nature & Science Center?
There is no fee for individuals or families to visit and explore the site.
For organized groups wanting an On Your Own Tour, there is a $1.00 per person fee and these tours may be scheduled with Visitor Services at (512) 974-3888.
What programs does the Austin Nature & Science Center offer?
The ANSC offers programs for individuals and well as groups, which include schools, Girl Scouts & Boy Scouts, Home-schools, etc. Our programs start as young as age 3 and ranges up to adults. Our brochures provide the information needed to determine the type of program which will suit your needs. You may visit thePrograms section of our web site . What volunteer or internship opportunities does the Austin Nature & Science Center offer?
We offer opportunities for volunteers in most areas of the ANSC, this includes landscaping, programming, exhibits, and more. Please see ANSC Volunteer Opportunities for more information.
We do not accept Community Service Restitution Volunteers at this time.
