Austin, TX - The City of Austin today announced an economic development incentive proposal with HID Global, a worldwide leader in secure identity solutions. HID Global is proposing to establish a manufacturing and distribution center in Austin creating at least 276 jobs over a 10-year period, paying an average wage of $51,398 a year.
The City’s proposal includes a performance-based grant over a 10-year period, for a total incentive estimated at $920,576. A presentation on the proposal will be provided to the Austin City Council at a Special Called meeting on September 12 at Austin City Hall. Council consideration on the proposal will occur at the regularly scheduled Austin City Council meeting on September 27.
