City launches Comprehensive Housing Market Study survey

You are the key – to helping the City of Austin understand the housing needs of our residents. The Neighborhood Housing and Community Development Office is completing a city-wide housing market analysis to determine how to achieve more affordable housing. City approves BBC Research & Consulting for Housing Market Study
The Austin City Council approved Agenda Item #42 Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008, which authorized execution of a contract with BBC Research & Consulting, a firm based in Denver, Colorado. The firm will assist in developing the City of Austin’s Comprehensive Housing Market Study. The City of Austin's Neighborhood Housing and Community Development (NHCD) Office issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) from research firms and consultants qualified and experienced in housing market data collection and analysis to conduct the Comprehensive Housing Market Study. Funding was approved for the study in the NHCD’s Fiscal Year 2007-2008 Capital Budget.

The public will have an opportunity to provide feedback as one component of the study. NHCD will publish public meeting dates once established. For more information, contact Rebecca Giello, Planner Principal, 512.974.3045.
