Public health combines the science and the art of protecting and improving the health of communities through education, promotion of healthy lifestyles and applied research.We provide Public Health, Social, and Environmental Health services for Austin and Travis County, and serve a population of over one million. In public health, the patient is the community and we use a variety of disciplines and population–based approaches to pro-actively address a wide spectrum of challenges and opportunities.
