Budget Simulator - Results Now Available in FY 2016-17 Public Engagement Report
The Budget Office annually gathers resident input on City budget priorities for the upcoming year. Dollars & Sense was the focal point of the FY 2016-17 Public Engagement process. Results received by July 15th were included in the FY 2016-17 Public Engagement Report, which is now available to the public here and at Austin Finance Online. The Report includes:
Analysis of Dollars & Sense results,
Results from the 2015 Austin Community Survey,
Results from the Telephone Town Hall,
Summaries of 14 Boards and Commissions meetings,
Complete Dollars & Sense data for both Citywide and District-Level results, and
Public comments from Austin Budget Simulator participants.
The Budget Simulator will remain open at this time to allow interested residents to continue engaging with the tool and learning about the City of Austin's Budget. Please note that responses received after July 15th, 2016, will not be included in the FY 2016-17 Public Engagement Report. The Budget Simulator is available in English and Spanish below:

There are many other ways to get involved and participate in the City's budget process. You can attend a Board and Commission meeting, speak at a Public Hearing on the budget or tax rate, or send your comments to us directly by emailing BudgetQA@austintexas.gov. We will also be out in the community with iPads available for residents to participate in the Austin Budget Simulator at events in May and June. Check back soon for a full list of event information.

Board and Commission Meetings
The City of Austin would like to hear your budget priorities for the Fiscal Year 2016-2017 Budget. During May and June, the City's boards and commissions will be discussing various department FY 2017-21 Financial Forcast information in public meetings.
