Complaints are accepted by phone, mail, email, fax or in person and are exclusive to the Austin Police Department's Policies

Mediation is designed for you to have a professional dialogue with the subject officer in the presence of a neutral mediator. Mediation is an opportunity to air your grievances. It is also an opportunity for both parties to express individual points of view and perspectives. Both you and the officer have to agree to mediation.

Mediation is exclusive to the Austin Police Department's Policies.

Supervisory Inquiry is generally reserved for less serious allegations or to clarify the Austin Police Department’s Policies
