Get to the Race

Circuit of the Americas gates open to the public at 7:30 a.m. Sunday’s Grand Prix race begins at 1 p.m.

Downtown Shuttle

Downtown Shuttle passes cannot be purchased in advance, they must be purchased onsite of the Downtown Shuttle at the Austin Convention Center. Patrons in the downtown can walk to the Austin Convention Center to ride a round-trip shuttle to the track.

Biking and Walking

  • Bicycle Route: Bicycles may park at Richard Moya Park, located at 10001 Burleson Road, Austin, TX 78719. A complimentary shuttle will be provided from there to the track.
  • No Walking: Walking to the race facility from outside of the property is not allowed. This is strictly for safety reasons and pedestrians will not be given access to the track.

North Bound/ South Bound

Catch a southbound bus on Congress Avenue to get to Fan Fest or the Circuit of the Americas shuttle stop. Or head north to get to the Texas State Capitol and the University of Texas. Use the 1L/1M, 5, 7, 10 or 20 to get where you want to go. Football fans don’t have to miss out on any of the F1 festivities. Take Capital Metro from Guadalupe/West Mall to get from UT to downtown for Fan Fest (SB, stop ID 497/NB, stop ID 1042)

West Bound/ East Bound

Use the 4, 21 or 22 to go between the Fan Fest at Republic Square Park and the Circuit of the Americas shuttle stop at the Austin Convention Center.

NightOwl

Not ready to call it a night? Then Capital Metro’s Night Owls are at your service. With buses operating between Midnight and 3 A.M., there’s no reason you can’t see the best of what Austin’s nightlife has to offer.

MetroAirport

If you’re looking for the fastest and easiest connection between Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and Downtown Austin, hop onto a MetroAirport bus. Just $1 for a hassle-free ride between ABIA and Austin.

MetroRail

Back by popular demand, Capital Metro will offer expanded MetroRail service during the Formula 1 weekend. MetroRail trains will operate:

  • Friday, Nov. 15: 6 a.m. – 12:30 a.m. (Saturday morning)
  • Saturday, Nov. 16: 8 a.m. – Midnight (service between Lakeline and Downtown only)
  • Sunday, Nov. 17: 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. (service between Lakeline and Downtown only)
