Whether you’re going out or staying in, having an escape plan is your key to survival. Make sure you know where the exits are (the way you came in isn’t always your way out) and where you’ll meet the rest of your party should you get separated. And if you’re at home, be sure you practice that plan so if the time comes, you’ll be ready.

Because the worst time to think about how you’re going to get out is in the moment when you have to.
