The Clean Cities Program is a public-private partnership that brings together governments, the auto industry, private sector fleets and community leaders to help communities make their vehicle fleets more efficient. Since 1993, Clean Cities Coalitions have saved nearly 3 billion gallons of gasoline.

Electric Vehicle Incentives
Central Texas Clean Cities and Austin Energy know that together we can help keep the air we breathe healthy. Our electric vehicle incentives are worth between $100 and $500 to Austin Energy customers who purchase qualifying low-speed electric vehicles (LSEVs), motorcycles, scooters and bicycles from approved dealers and/or build a qualifying all-electric gas engine conversion.
Going electric means:
- Zero emissions for cleaner air
- Reduced dependency on foreign oil
- More money left in your pocket — a full charge costs 50 cents or less for an electric car, and as little as three cents for an electric bicycle
- Reduced maintenance time and expenditure
- Quiet, convenient transportation around parks, universities, neighborhoods and more
