With the Home Rehabilitation Loan Program homeowners can make much needed repairs to their home to bring it up to code and make the home safe, livable, and healthy.
The Minor Home Repair Grants Program assists with repairs for low-income homeowners who are facing a serious conditions, or a health or safety hazard. Services under this program include repairs, customer recruitment, screening and selection of eligible customers, and the supervision of repairs on homes owned by low-income residents.
A private sewer lateral line is the portion of the wastewater service line located on your property that connects your house to the City wastewater main. Sometimes these lines break or become defective which can be expensive to fix. NHCD provides free replacement or repair of these lines for eligible Austin Water Utility customers of a single-family home or duplex whose household income is 100% or less than the area Median Family Income (MFI).
