The AustinGo team encourages residents to attend the Random Hacks of Kindness weekend hack-a-thon in Austin.
The event, which runs June 1 to 3, is a fun and competitive way for gifted developers, designers and managers to make a difference. Those who attend will be given a problem and asked to come up with a technology-based solution over the course of the weekend. A panel of judges will choose a winning solution.
Winners receive prizes and a chance to watch their work make a difference.
According to Random Hacks of Kindness’ website:
“We could quickly build powerful and meaningful solutions to critical problems like natural resource management and disaster management, which could result in millions of lives bettered or saved.”
Interested? Registration forms can be found on the Random Hacks of Kindness website. Registration runs through June 1.
