Helping Hand With A Good Deed

I recently saw a, likely homeless, man by McDonalds late at night. It was really cold outside and he was barefoot and wearing shorts. I had a blanket that I wanted to give him, but did not feel safe approaching the man, given that he appeared to be mentally disturbed. There was a police car in a nearby parking lot, so I asked the officer if he wouldn't mind just supervising my interaction with the man from his vehicle. Officer Vonholt (badge number 8605) went above and beyond to assist. He got out of his vehicle and escorted me. He was firm, but kind to the man and we gave him the blanket. Officer Vonholt exemplified what a law enforcement agent should be. I am so grateful for his help and very impressed by his authoritative empathy. Way to go APD!
