The City’s website last week received its first award recognition just five months after its January launch.
The Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers granted Austin the Best Website award for populations over 100,000 at its annual awards luncheon June 22.
According to the judges, AustinTexas.gov is “easy to navigate” the “design is simple and clean”, and it’s a “pleasure to surf.”
The award was one of six the City took home from the association’s conference. The other awards were:
- Best Media Relations
- Best Marketing Campaign (Imagine Austin)
- Best One-Time Programming ("We're Moving" video covering the animal shelter's move)
- Best Public Service Announcement: Second Place (Warrant Round-Up)
- Recurring Programming: Third Place (Dare to Go Zero)
