Effective February 10, 2017, a separate Tree Ordinance Review Application will no longer be required for residential plan review submittals. Under the new requirements, the tree application, fee, review, and issuance of a tree permit will now be consolidated into the Residential plan review process.
A residential plan tree review is needed to review and permit the following as a result of development. e.g., new construction, access to build site, staging, and utility trenching:
- Proposed removal of a regulated tree;
- Promosed impacts in the full critical root zone of regulated trees;
- proposed pruning that exceeds 25% of the canopy
The review timelines will occur on the same timelines as other plan review disciplines.
