The Austin Transportation Department has launched an online survey to collect feedback for the Austin Strategic Mobility Plan (ASMP). The purpose is to prioritize the mobility considerations that we identified by analyzing past public engagement processes and help validate what we've already heard. As the ASMP team has said before, we are not starting from scratch on public engagement; we’re mining past processes to see what you’ve already told us and asking you to help validate what we’ve already heard.
The survey is a continuation of the work already done to engage the Austin community throughout the last several months. The questions mimic the activities we have been asking communities to participate in at the Traffic Jam, Council Member Town Hall Meetings, and other input opportunities.
The ASMP Engagement Phase 1 Survey will be open until Friday, June 9 at 11:59 p.m. and is available on the ASMP Website, AustinTexas.gov/ASMP.
At the end of this engagement period in June 2017, the ASMP team will present a report of what we’ve heard and share it with the community. The input will help shape the next step of the ASMP process: scenario planning.
The final Plan will be presented to the City Council for consideration in early 2018, after additional public input in the fall and vetting by City Boards, Commissions and Committees. The final Plan will include recommended and prioritized policies, programs and projects for all modes of transportation throughout Austin.
